Over 100 Armed Forces personnel on the ground assisting citizens

The Armed Forces continue their intense and uninterrupted engagement on the ground to manage the situation caused by the intense rainfall that has engulfed the country.
Members of the Support Command, the Southern Infantry Regiment and the Northern Infantry Regiment of the Land Force have been deployed to areas affected by the floods, to assist communities.
Currently, over 100 officers and dozens of vehicles are engaged in the regions of Vlora, Durrës, Gjirokastër, Shkodër and Kurbin, as well as in any area where intervention has been necessary, with the aim of guaranteeing the safety of residents and managing emergency situations.
In Durrës, 62 personnel, 18 vehicles, 5 motorboats, 12 aggregates, 7 motor pumps have been deployed, of which 4 are with high suction power, 1 with medium power and 2 with low power.
34 officers have been deployed in Gjirokastra, while a motor pump is assisting the forces in normalizing the situation in the "Granicë" neighborhood.

In the village of Obot, in Shkodra, 9 officers are working with 2 vehicles and a boat, helping the community.
Meanwhile, a civil engineering operation was carried out in Kurbin to clean the roads, with the engagement of 3 officers and 2 vehicles.
The Armed Forces, under the coordination of the National Civil Protection Agency, continue their work on the ground to guarantee the safety of residents and keep the situation under control.
