Support for innovative tourism ideas - Call for applications in TIP4CE, 15 thousand euros in funding
The Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro, through a post published on social networks, calls on tourism professionals to apply to the TIP4CE platform, to contribute to the sustainable development of the tourism sector in Albania.
TIP4CE is a unique opportunity to contribute to the sustainable development of the tourism sector in Albania, by bringing a business model to promote sustainable tourism, while also innovating in tourism experiences or products, while implementing best practices for waste reduction and management.
Through a competitive process, TIP4CE will identify and support the most promising ideas that combine tourism services or products with circular economy principles, with the aim of optimizing resources and minimizing waste.
Pre-selected applicants will benefit from personalized mentoring throughout all phases of the competition, to best prepare for the final presentation (Demo-Day), from which the winning ideas will be selected and will be funded with up to 15,000 euros to realize their ideas.
A jury of experts in the field will evaluate the competing projects and ideas. Any individual or business can apply if they have a vision for a more sustainable and effective tourism product, service, or tourism experience that reduces waste, promotes reusable packaging, and strengthens the farm-to-table chain.
The Tip Platform aims to develop new tourism experiences and products or improve tourist satisfaction, incorporating elements of the circular economy in tourism. It also aims to minimize waste that is not properly managed, encouraging the use of regenerative business models and promoting the efficient use of resources in the tourism industry.
Another important aspect is to strengthen awareness of sustainable practices and environmental protection, strengthening cooperation between industry stakeholders to implement innovative and sustainable solutions. Applications to become part of TIP will remain open until April 21.
