Olive and vineyard cadastre is created/ Information on 13 thousand olive grove units in Fier and Berat districts
Albania will have a special cadastre for olive trees and vineyards. In the official report of the Ministry of Agriculture, on the work done during this year, it is said that for the "Creation of the Olive Cadastre" program, the program was prepared and approved with the objectives, expected results, planned expenses, as well as the schedule of activities for their realization.
In the monitoring report, which belongs to the 8-month period of the year, it is emphasized that during this time preliminary information was provided for the areas cultivated with olive groves in the administrative units of the municipality of Fier, Mallakastër, Patos, Lushnjë of Fier district, as well as in the municipality Çorovode, Berat district, for about 13,000 olive trees that are expected to be registered.
Also, for the "Updating the Vineyard Cadastre" program, the program was prepared and approved with the objectives, expected results, planned expenses, as well as the schedule of activities for the realization of the planned objectives.
Preliminary information has been provided for cultivated areas with new vineyards, uprooted vineyards, as well as plots with vineyards over 500m2 in the municipality: Kuçovo and Çorovode. The training was also carried out with 60 specialists in the Agricultural Extension Sectors in Berat, Kukës, Durrës and Fier with the object "Information with Law No. 86/22 On "Vineyard and wine" as well as by-laws", on the obligations and responsibilities that SEBs have in the implementation of this law. Until August, it turns out that about 502 units of olive groves and vineyards have been registered.
The olive sector and viticulture are among the most promising in agriculture in terms of the interest and income they generate for farmers.
