VAT on books to be abolished - Parliamentary Laws Committee discusses proposed changes

The Parliamentary Committee on Legal Affairs and Public Administration has discussed several amendments proposed by the Ministry of Culture to the Law "On Books".
Among the proposed changes is the abolition of Value Added Tax on books, including electronic ones. Deputy Minister of Culture, Tourism and Sports, Lira Pipa, said that a working group will be established on this issue together with the Ministry of Finance.
The changes also aim to digitize books, guarantee a sustainable fund for enriching libraries, etc.
