The former block will be turned into a pedestrian zone - The project is presented with the support of the global network "WALK 21"
In the former Blloku area, public spaces have been redesigned, giving priority to pedestrians, turning some of them into pedestrian areas. The Walk 21 project will redesign Ismail Qemali Street, Pjetër Bogdani Street, and Brigada VIII Street.

This project of the block has a big and very special impact. This is a golden opportunity to embrace it. In October we will celebrate the changes on the streets of the block."
According to the head of government, this project is the right path for the former Blloku area.
"I believe this will be the right path. We must avoid the fixed idea that to reduce traffic we must widen the roads. In this area, it will be very worthwhile to move forward with this project. Because it is a central, accessible area. It is an area where the distances described by residents are not long. By stimulating walking and the movement of people, it will be efficient for businesses in the area."
