IKMT: Two facilities at "Durrës Marina" have suffered damage. Immediate reinforcements are required from the implementing company!
The National Inspectorate for Territorial Protection (IKMT) has reacted after reports published in the media regarding issues regarding the sustainability and safety of two facilities in the "Durres Marina" project.
According to the official announcement, by order of the Chief Inspector of IKMT, a special inspection group has been established, consisting of representatives of IKMT, the Territorial Development Agency, IMT of the Municipality of Durres and specialists from the Construction Institute.
Verifications were carried out for two buildings in management areas A02 and A04, currently in the external settlement phase. The topographic report of the Construction Institute has found that building 02 has suffered a decrease of 28 centimeters, while building 04 has suffered a decrease of 18 centimeters.
Following these findings, IKMT has officially requested from the implementing company to immediately take measures to implement the technical reinforcement projects that guarantee the sustainability of the structures.
The institution emphasizes that reinforcement projects must first receive approval from the responsible authorities, while guaranteeing that it will continue to supervise the implementation of the law at construction sites.
