The Minister of Economy and Innovation, Delina Ibrahimaj, together with Prime Minister Edi Rama, introduced the new director of the National Information Society Agency (AKSHI), Igli Tafa.
In her speech, the Minister of Economy and Innovation, Ibrahimaj, emphasized the strategic role of the National Information Society Agency (NAISA) in the country's digital transformation.
The Minister praised the work of the National Agency for Information and Communication Technologies (NAI) to date, describing it as the main pillar of e-government in Albania and a success story in providing online public services.
"AKSHI represents one of the most important institutions for modern governance. The achievements in the digitalization of public services are a source of pride for our country and a testament to the professional capacities of the staff. Albania today ranks among the countries with an advanced level of electronic service provision, thanks to sustainable work and long-term vision", said the minister.
Focusing on the priorities for the coming period, she emphasized that the objectives for 2026 are ambitious and require the continuation of the high pace of work. A special focus will be the development of the "e-Albania 2.0" platform, with full extension to local government, as well as the provision of proactive services based on life events, with the aim of reducing procedures and facilitating access for citizens and businesses.
Another major priority remains the modernization of the public procurement portal, as an important step towards increasing transparency, efficiency and integrity in the management of public funds.
Minister Ibrahimaj emphasized that digital transformation is not just a technological process, but a fundamental reform that increases the quality of services, reduces administrative costs and strengthens citizens' trust in institutions.
