Chapter 6 of EU legislation, the easiest for Albania? - Mahmutaj: Every cluster has its own challenges, foreign policy is no exception
With the opening of negotiations for the sixth group chapter, Albania is today one step closer to the European Union.
In terms of foreign relations, Albania follows almost the same political direction as the European Union.
According to teacher Noela Mahmutaj, Albania's foreign policy is almost completely aligned with that of the European Union.
However, each chapter group has its own challenges, where even in this case, institutional reformation will be among the difficulties.
On October 15 of this year, our country opened negotiations for the first group chapter "Fundamentals", which includes 5 chapters on the judiciary, fundamental rights, statistics, public procurement, financial control, justice, freedom and security, but our country must apply in parallel the economic criterion set by the EU, the reform of the public administration, or the condition for the functioning of the democratic system.
This is one of the most difficult chapters for Albania, which is why it is usually opened first and closed last.
