The Albanian Electric Corporation has announced the opening of the tender for the system of measurement, prediction and optimization of the operation and maintenance of Hec Koman, the implementation of predictive models. The estimated value of this project is 120 million ALL.
The Albanian Power Corporation (KESH) develops its activity by managing the hydropower plants of the Drin river cascade (HEC-Fierzë HEC-Koman, HEC-Vau i Dejës) which are of special importance for the country's economy.
Referring to the document, in order to carry out an accurate monitoring, it is necessary to invest in new technologies of equipment condition monitoring systems during work processes, as well as receiving information in real time. The purpose of this investment is the digitization of Operation and Maintenance, which results in cost reduction through optimized maintenance.
Therefore, an intelligent digital system will be installed, which should include all the equipment necessary for its operation, where the maintenance optimization and forecasting program will be installed and configured, to ensure the long-term safety and integrity of the hydropower equipment. .
This system will be used as an online monitoring system with protective and preventive capabilities, and can be used to view real-time data during commissioning or maintenance of aggregates.
The system must monitor and optimize the technical condition of the electricity production assets of HEC Koman, in order to take precautionary measures at the right time, for the elimination of defects.
This will further increase the readiness and minimize the failure of the Koman HPP equipment and system as a whole, guaranteeing the safe production of electricity, the document states.
