Foundation that empowers artisans - "CulturAlb" will also promote Albanian cultural identity

At the last meeting, the Council of Ministers approved the decision to establish the “CulturAlb” foundation. Official sources from the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports informed SCAN TV that this is a national initiative that will develop the cultural souvenir industry and revive traditional Albanian craftsmanship. According to the sources, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports, as the founder, is continuing the process of approval and registration with the court, so that the foundation can start its activities soon.
"CulturAlb" puts local artisans, creators, designers and manufacturers at the center, paving the way for production, exhibition, promotion and trade at home and abroad. It is now expected that products with authentic Albanian motifs will take on a new form in historical bazaars, tourist destinations, exhibitions and souvenir shops.
By fusing tradition with contemporary design, the foundation aims to create a distinctive Albanian brand and increase our cultural presence nationally and internationally.
This decision seems to conclude other initiatives of the previous Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation, which offered the possibility of financial support for artisans and craftsmen, aiming to strengthen and develop activities that contribute to the promotion of handicrafts and cultural heritage in Albania.
The total support fund for 2025 was 30 million lek.
