Durrës, with a new urban development plan - The Municipality begins the design phase for new investments
The Municipality of Durrës has announced the opening of the tender for the drafting of the master plan and preparation of implementation projects for a series of infrastructure and development interventions, for the period 2025-2026.
According to the document published by the Public Procurement Agency, the Municipality aims to implement projects that include road construction, sports and residential facilities, gardens, nurseries, redevelopment of urban spaces, as well as taking measures to improve sewage infrastructure and erosion protection.
Among the most important projects are the construction of the "Sirus" road, "Vlora Assembly" and "Çelislami"; the development of a sewage network, the design of an underground parking lot, and the construction of a nursery and kindergarten.
Meanwhile, one of the most impactful interventions will be the structural rehabilitation of buildings damaged by the earthquake of November 26, 2019. Likewise, a project that is expected to be an intervention will be the reinforcement of the terrain from landslides, in the Porto Romano area.
Referring to the document, the scope of work will be expanded in the design phases, which will be determined in the II phase of the mini-competitions, while in the mini-competitions phase, the packages will be determined according to the need for the service required for specific phases.
The project aims not only to improve existing infrastructure, but also to promote sustainable urban development, increase security and improve the quality of life for the citizens of Durrës.
Meanwhile, the estimated limit fund reaches 33 million 332 thousand lekë. For the implementation of these important projects, the Municipality will engage a large team of consultants specialized in the fields of construction, urban planning, architecture, energy and the environment, guaranteeing high technical standards.
