Albania-Greece, partnership for a common European future - "Integration, economy and dialogue", at the center of Minister Hasani's official visit
The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, paid an official visit to Athens, where he was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, George Gerapetritis, and the President of the Hellenic Republic, Constantinos Tassoulas. This visit came at a key moment for bilateral relations, confirming the shared will to strengthen strategic cooperation and support for the European perspective of the Western Balkans.
In a press statement following the meeting with his Greek counterpart, Minister Hasani stressed the importance of relations between Albania and Greece for regional stability and for the consolidation of European values in the region. An important part of the discussions was dedicated to Albania's European integration process as a national priority, for which Minister Hasani thanked Greece for its consistent and constructive support over the years.
Regarding the remaining bilateral issues, Minister Hasani emphasized the need for sincere and serious treatment through dialogue and respect for international law.
In the meeting with the President of the Hellenic Republic, the positive dynamics of relations were assessed and the importance of deepening economic and trade cooperation was underlined. As part of the visit, Minister Hasani will hold a discussion with members of the ELIAMEP Institute, where he will present the progress of reforms and Albania's commitments in the European context.
