Engineers, financiers and officials needed, 6000 job vacancies - Growing demand for professionals and unqualified employees
Are you looking for a job? Over 6,000 job vacancies across the country have been announced by the National Employment and Skills Agency, Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation Blendi Gonxhja announced in a post on social media.
But what are the professions that are offered to job seekers?
Albanian companies need not only manual workers or unskilled workers, but recently, the number of companies seeking qualified employees has increased.
As a result, among the 6,000 job vacancies, economists, managers, communication specialists, mechanical engineers, software developers, office clerks, civil engineers, finance clerks, trade managers, electrotechnology engineers, etc. are required.
But, on the other hand, a large number of jobs are also offered to unskilled workers. Among them, Albanian businesses are looking for cleaners, construction workers, assistant chefs, waiters, shop assistants, heavy vehicle drivers, chefs, bartenders, tailors, merchandisers, shoemakers, etc.
But what is the employment and unemployment rate for this year in Albania?
According to INSTAT figures, in the first quarter of this year, the employment rate for people aged 15-64 reached 69.5% with an increase of +1.2 percentage points, compared to the first quarter of 2024.
Meanwhile, the unemployment rate for those over 15 years of age decreased to 8.7%, marking a decrease of -0.1% points, compared to the first quarter of 2024.
