What are the rules for using social media for elections? - Political parties express their positions and propose changes
At the Central Election Commission, a public session was held to discuss the draft decision "On the rules for the use of social networks and online media by public institutions in elections".

Likewise, this draft decision aims to ensure that public officials of any level should not directly or indirectly use their official accounts on social networks for political or electoral purposes. Meanwhile, CEC head Ilirjan Celibashi expressed agreement with the proposed changes to the draft decision.
"We will reflect some of these proposals made now, but also made before. We will make a change to the draft act, including public officials in the title, since they are also part, subject of the treatment in this draft act. We will also include the part of online communication not only on social networks, but also on websites and other online networks, of public institutions but also other public officials. And in the meantime, with a suggestion, we will provide a definition of the account of a public official."
