Energy prices fall in Alpex - Average price, 105.5 euros/mWh. In 10 months, 1.22 million mWh were traded
The prices at which energy was traded on the Albanian Electricity Exchange fell during the month of October, compared to the month of September.
According to data from ALPEX, the average price for October reached 105.46, or almost 25 euros/mWh less than September, when the average price was 130.21 euros/mWh.
As for the traded energy volumes, October marked a slight increase compared to the previous months, as around 1.22 million mWh of energy were traded through this instrument throughout the year 2024.
Meanwhile, for the period January - October, the average price for the bidding areas of Albania and Kosovo is calculated at around 101 euros/mWh.
A little while ago, ALPEX reported to the Energy Regulatory Authority that in about 73% of cases, energy trading prices on the Albanian Electricity Exchange follow the same trend as the prices of the Hungarian Exchange.
The data also show that the average price in the Hungarian Stock Exchange, HUPX, is lower in 65.4% of cases, while in ALPEX in 34.6% of cases or 5.01 euro/mWh higher on average per day.
