Balluku inspects the rehabilitation works of the Plugu road in Lushnje: It

In the municipality of Lushnja, in the village of Plug, the Albanian Development Fund is implementing a project to rehabilitate the road that connects this area to the highway. A road about 3 kilometers long is undergoing a complete rehabilitation, which will also be completed with urban elements.

Deputy Prime Minister, Belinda Balluku, accompanied by the Mayor of Lushnja, Eriselda Sefa, and ADF engineers, closely followed the progress of the works, of which approximately 25% have been completed so far.

"We have also signed a contract with the Albanian Fund and after the asphalting, we will continue with the sidewalk on the left side of the road, with a length of 1.1 kilometers that will go to the center of the village of Plug, giving the area the urbanization it deserves ," Sefa announced.

The contract foresees that the works will be completed in September of this year, thus serving all residents of the area, especially farmers.

"Here, roads play a very important and key role in the connection not only between administrative units, but also the plots in which work is done. But on the other hand, for all the movement of agricultural goods that we know are those afternoon hours that collectors start and farmers go towards them and it is necessary to create all the necessary infrastructure," said Balluku.

Completing the project with urban elements, sidewalks and lighting, responds to the demand of residents, but also to the urbanization of the area.

"We do not only build road infrastructure, but this road infrastructure also comes complete with urban furniture, such as sidewalks, greenery, and lighting, which is very important in the area. It is one of the requests that we have from time to time. Even the lighting continues to be a very important request that we must offer to residents," said Balluku.
