ARA, plan of measures for the end-of-year holidays/ Director Ami Kozeli: Vehicles and employees, on standby on icy roads
The head of the Albanian Road Authority (ARRSH), Ami Kozeli, has published the measures taken by this institution for the end-of-year holidays. According to him, continuous traffic on the country's road axes will be guaranteed.
"During the night of the new year and in the first days of 2026, temperatures will be significantly lower and the ARA has taken all precautionary measures, with 130 snowplows, 577 other vehicles and 800 employees on standby 24 hours a day. 5,300 tons of salt and 1,100 tons of granulate have been procured so that all roads are free of snow. I call on all drivers to equip themselves with chains and have winter tires so that there are no road blockages and traffic is continuous," said Kozeli.
Speaking about the year that has just ended, the head of the ARRSH stated that very important road infrastructure works have been delivered. According to Kozel, the works on the Tirana-Durres axis have had a very good progress, as have the Elbasan-Qafë Thanë, Elbasan-Rrogozhinë and Berat-Ballaban construction sites.
