Membership in SEPA/ Rama: Another big step on the road to Albania 2030 in the EU
Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted to the news that Albania will officially become part of SEPA from April.
In a post on the X platform, the Head of Government considers the decision of the Board of the European Payments Council as a big step in Albania's journey towards the EU.
"Another big step on the way to Albania 2030 in the European Union. Today, Albania became part of the unique European payment system, which means that all money transfers of Albanians from Europe to Albania or vice versa will no longer have financial costs starting from January 1, 2025. Millions and millions of EUROS saved from remittance obligations, thanks to increased confidence in Albania and Albania's further approach to the top EU membership", writes the Prime Minister.
