Anti-informality action, incomes are increased in the budget - In 11 months, 27% more informal workers were identified
Throughout the year, the State Inspectorate of Labor and Social Services has continued with the controls for the respect of work standards according to the legislation in force by businesses.
Compared to 2023, 27% more informal workers have been identified. In the meantime, 26,404,560 ALL per month of income have been added to the budget after their declaration.
According to data from the State Labor Inspectorate, during the period January-November 2024, 8,878 subjects were inspected on the basis of risk;
16,396 new subjects were advised about the rights and obligations from the Labor Legislation; 624 inspections were carried out due to complaints, an increase of 25% more compared to 2023, where 76.8% of the decisions were made in favor of the employees.
Punitive measures have also increased with 1,256 suspensions, i.e. with an increase of 21% more, while 1,620 warnings have been issued to subjects, with an increase of 44% more; and 179 fines were imposed, i.e. with an increase of 42% more than a year ago.
The actions continue as part of efforts to guarantee formalization and standards in the labor market.
