36 million euros for the Fier-Fratar road - ARRSH announces the winning company for the rehabilitation, length 43.6 km
With an offer of about 36 million euros, excluding VAT, the Albanian Road Authority has announced the winning company for the rehabilitation of the road axis Fier - Kthesa e Patosi - Ballsh - Fratar.
The funds for this axis were made available with the changes that were made to the state budget some time ago, as the company "Gjoka Konstruksion" was announced as the winner.
According to the tender documents, the Fier - Fratar road is currently in a very depreciated state, as no investments have been made for years.
"As a result of the demographic developments that have occurred in the last 20 years, this road in some parts of it passes through the residential centers, whose population growth and the lack of investment in the road has simultaneously led to an increase in the number of of road accidents", it was stated among other things in the tender documents.
Meanwhile, the segment where intervention will take place has a length of 43.6 km, including the city of Ballshi, with a length of 0.9 km. The rest is divided into 3 segments, where the first one starts from Fieri, up to Kthesa e Patosi, with a length of 5.9 km.
The second segment includes the turning axis of Patos - Hyrje Ballsh, with a length of 17.2 km, while the third segment Ballsh - Fratar, with a length of 19.6 km.
