103 thousand visitors in 2025, Bënja is turning into an international

The area is being transformed into an international tourist destination, through a rehabilitation project that aims to improve infrastructure and preserve the area's unique natural values.

The recently released images reflect an interim phase of the works, as the project continues towards completion. Interest in Benja remains high, with over 103 thousand visitors during 2025, evidence of the extraordinary potential that this destination offers for sustainable tourism.

According to a statement by MIA, within the framework of the "Bënja - International Tourist Destination" project, work continues to rehabilitate the area, improve the tourist infrastructure and organize services for visitors, while preserving and promoting its unique natural values.

The high interest in Benja remains unchanged even during the implementation of the project. During 2025 alone, the area was visited by 103,761 domestic and foreign visitors, a clear indicator of the extraordinary values offered by this destination, but also of the fact that the interventions are being carried out in harmony with nature and without compromising the experience of visitors, who continue to frequent the thermal baths and attractions of the area.

It is important to note that the area is currently undergoing rehabilitation and the works are not yet complete. For this reason, certain recently published images reflect temporary moments in the intervention process and not the final state that the destination will take after the completion of the project.

The National Agency for Protected Areas continues to closely monitor the works to guarantee the preservation of Bënja's natural values and its development as a model destination for sustainable tourism.

Meanwhile, Bënja offers domestic and foreign visitors an even higher quality experience, harmoniously combining natural resources, history, landscape, and sustainable tourism standards.
