“Collaboration for the Intelligent Age” - Theme of the World Economic Forum in Davos
Davos is welcoming global leaders for the World Economic Forum 2025 this week, meeting under the slogan “Collaborating for the Intelligent Age.” Discussions will include, among others, geo-economic uncertainty, artificial intelligence, economic growth and protecting the planet.
Around 3,000 leaders are expected to attend from over 130 countries including 60 heads of state and government, from all major regions, will also be in the Swiss mountain resort.
"If the gap between hopes and fears was in clear evidence last year, the context for Davos 2025 is no less conflicted. Geo-economic uncertainty, trade tensions, cultural polarization and climate anxiety are the themes of the day. But there are also developments in rapid innovation, such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing and biotechnology, to increase productivity and living standards," a World Economic Forum press release states.
"This diversity is essential to the Forum's approach to ensuring that the world's most important issues are discussed as broadly as possible and solutions are designed with a diverse, cross-sectoral lens," the Forum's announcement continues.
Over 1,600 business leaders, including over 900 of the world's top CEOs and chairmen from World Economic Forum members and partners, will also attend.
"More than 170 leaders from civil society and the social sector, from labor unions, non-governmental organizations, religious and indigenous communities, as well as experts and leaders from the world's leading universities, research institutions and think tanks will participate in the meeting," the Forum's statement states.
