Debts for OSHEE bills slightly reduced. The stock of arrears reaches 80.43

The total debt that customers have towards the Electricity Distribution Operator decreased very slightly during 2024, compared to 2023.

According to official data from the Energy Regulatory Authority, the value of unpaid obligations to OSHEE by household customers, state institutions, water utilities and businesses by the end of December 2024 reached 80.43 billion lek, up from 80.89 billion lek at the end of 2023.

This decrease in total debts comes as a result of the decrease in unpaid liabilities from businesses, which are the only category that has recorded a decrease in liabilities during 2024. Meanwhile, the debt stock for household consumers, state institutions and non-budgetary clients, which includes water utilities, increased.

Thus, for the business category, debt decreased to 10.34 billion lek, from 11.69 billion lek at the end of 2023.

Meanwhile, the stock of arrears for family members increased to 45.48 billion lek, from 45.40 billion lek, while for state institutions the level of unpaid energy bills at the end of December 2024 reached 5.05 billion lek, from 4.83 billion lek a year ago.

As for the non-budgetary category, arrears reached 19.54 billion lek at the end of 2024, up from 18.96 billion lek at the end of 2023.
