Applications open for solar panels for water heating/ Balluku: 70% support for 2 thousand families!
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku announced that starting today, citizens can apply to benefit from a subsidy of up to 70% for the installation of solar panels for water heating, which will benefit 2,000 families.
Installing solar panels for water heating directly reduces household electricity bills by 20-30%.
"As of today, applications are open for all family subscribers for the installation of water heating panels. There are 2 thousand units for 2 thousand families that will benefit from a 70% subsidy from the Energy Efficiency Agency," said Balluku.
Winners of the first call cannot apply again for the same apartment/energy contract.
The first call, opened in 2023, was successful and around 1,980 families across the country have solar panels installed in their homes for water heating, subsidized by 70% from the state budget.
