How did this 'turbulent' week end for the major currencies?
The US dollar, although it has gained points on global stock exchanges as a result of the new US government's recent decisions in relation to the local currency, has closed this week negatively as it is being bought today at 91.5 lek and sold at 92.8 lek.
According to the local exchange rate, the European currency also seems to have closed this week in decline, as compared to yesterday, it was bought today for 98.8 lek and sold for 99.8 lek.
The Swiss franc has already registered an increase this morning, closing the week on a positive note as it was bought this Friday at 103.2 lek and sold at 104.5 lek.
Referring to the domestic foreign exchange market, the British pound has also recorded an increase in value this morning, being bought today at 118.3 lekë and being sold at 119.7 lekë compared to the day before.
