New tourist trail in Dumre - Aims to increase access and visitors

The Municipality of Belsh has announced the opening of the competition for the creation of the tourist trail Lake Degës - Lake Çestije - Lake Merhojes and the Dumrea Eco Park Complex in Marinëz. The estimated limit fund is 16 million and 116 thousand lekë.
According to the document in the Public Procurement Agency, this project aims to build a tourist trail with a total length of 3 kilometers, which will serve as a connecting road between the tourist areas of Eco Park, Dega Lake and Paraska Lake. The trail will have a width of 3 meters and is designed for shared use by pedestrians, bicycles and small maintenance vehicles.
Dumre is known for its unique natural landscape, built by a series of karst lakes scattered throughout the territory, which constitute an important asset for the development of natural and ecological tourism.
According to the document, the planned tourist route connects three points of high recreational interest – Eco Park, Degës Lake and Paraska Lake. Existing accessibility is limited, so the construction of this trail aims to significantly improve the connection between these natural areas, creating a sustainable and convenient itinerary for visitors and local residents.
The project also foresees the installation of orienting and informative signage for tourists and visitors, as well as the rehabilitation of the roadsides with natural decorative elements, ensuring sustainability, safety and aesthetic integration with the surrounding environment.
The construction of this trail will have a significant positive impact on the local community and the economic development of the area. The road will provide better access to tourist attractions, encouraging an increase in visitor flow and creating new opportunities for the development of tourist activities, agritourism and supporting services.
During the construction phase, jobs will be created for the residents of the area, while after the completion of the works, the improvement of the infrastructure will increase the value of properties and strengthen social ties between communities. The works will be carried out in accordance with the principles of environmental protection, preserving the natural character of the landscape.
The construction of the Eco Park - Dega Lake - Paraska Lake tourist trail will contribute to strengthening the tourist identity of the Dumre area and improving the quality of life for the local community, the document states.
