Reform of financial autonomy in hospitals - Balluku: Increases competition. Koçiu: It will be accompanied by investments
The Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku and the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Albana Koçiu, were at the Regional Memorial Hospital of Fier, where they held a conversation with students of the University of Medicine and Nursing.
During her speech, Deputy Prime Minister Balluku said that human resources are very important for the health system in the country, but this should also be accompanied by investments in infrastructure. According to her, with the reform for financial autonomy, hospitals will be more attractive to doctors as greater competition will be created between them.
Meanwhile, Minister Albana Koçiu mentioned the increase in salaries in the health sector, the incentives offered to young doctors, but also the investments made in the country's hospitals. However, Koçiu added that hospitals should gain some autonomy, in order to be more financially independent.
In 2025, it will be the regional memorial hospital of Fier where the implementation of financial autonomy will begin, while until now it has operated with managerial autonomy.
