Rama in Gdansk: Reconstruction of Ukraine and EU enlargement are part of the same strategy

Prime Minister Edi Rama participated in the conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine, held in Gdansk, Poland, where the focus was on support for Kiev and the future European security architecture.
Rama stated that Albania reaffirmed its stance in support of Ukraine, while underlining that the country's reconstruction process and the rapprochement of the Western Balkans with the European Union should not be treated as separate issues.
According to him, the integration of the Western Balkan countries, Moldova and Ukraine should be considered part of the same strategic approach to strengthening stability and security on the continent.
"The reconstruction of Ukraine and the further rapprochement of the Western Balkans, including Moldova and Ukraine, to the European Union, should not be seen as two separate processes," Rama declared on the "Flasim" Podcast.
The head of government emphasized that these processes are related to the objective of a more united, more stable and more secure Europe.
The conference brought together political and institutional representatives to discuss long-term support for Ukraine, reconstruction financing, and cooperation between European countries in addressing security challenges.
