When will IPARD funds be opened? - Ministry of Agriculture expects the "green light" to be given in 2026
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development expects the "green light" for IPARD III to be given in 2026, thus giving farmers the opportunity to benefit from 9 areas that will be supported with funds, such as rural infrastructure, market construction, agro-processing or agrotourism, forestry, technical assistance and consulting.
Meanwhile, the disbursement of funds to farmers benefiting from IPARD II, which belongs to the period 2014-2022, has been completed, with a total financing of 94 million euros.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development announces that it has submitted to the European Commission structures (DG AGRI) at the end of 2024 an action plan with measures taken in management structures, implementation methods and internal controls, which are important to ensure the transparency and efficiency of projects.
According to the MADRD, in July of this year there will be a report on the implementation of these tasks and in the fall of this year (September-November) the measures undertaken by the Ministry of Agriculture and the AZHBR will be audited.
Currently, a system has been set up at the AZHBR that verifies applications in real time.
Meanwhile, the lack of IPARD is being covered with funds from the state budget, through the Investment Scheme launched last year that will continue this year, the national scheme with subsidies for agriculture and livestock, as well as the soft loan program that is expected to be provided by banks after the approval of the program by the Bank of Albania.
