Agricultural exports, growth of 19.5% - Albanian productions, competitive in foreign markets
Albanian productions are expanding more and more in foreign markets. Agricultural exports have increased by 19.5% during the period January-November 2024 compared to the previous year. The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development announced that during the period January-November 2023, 364,219 tons were exported, while in January-November 2024, 435,372 tons were exported.
The government's objective is that through support policies for farmers in terms of production, quality and certification, to reach the level of 1 billion dollars in exports by 2030. According to Minister Denaj, the positive performance that the agricultural sector is showing makes the products Made in Albania competitive in international markets.
Official data show that the year 2023 ended with a total export figure of 55.7 billion lek, marking an increase of 7.7% during 2023 compared to 2022. Meanwhile, in total exports, those that lead and have the most demand high by foreign consumers are fresh, organic Albanian fruits and vegetables.
On the other hand, during the summer season, Albanian products occupy an important place in the domestic market, supplying not only domestic consumer demand but also foreign tourists, who when visiting Albania are more oriented towards local products.
