Tirana-Durrës highway, under reconstruction - The winner for the Vorë-Dajlanit axis tender is announced, offer 50.8 million lekë
The Tirana - Durrës highway will undergo reconstruction. The Albanian Road Authority has announced the winning company for emergency interventions to repair the subgrade and asphalt layers in the segment from Vora to the Dajlan Bridge. The winning bid has a value of 50.8 million lekë, while the company that will implement the works is Bami Holding.
In parallel with this segment, work is currently underway to expand the highway in the first 5 km, starting just after passing the Kamza turn, up to the Rinas overpass. According to the project, the highway will be expanded by 2 lanes in each direction, bringing the total to 8 lanes, while authorities have stated that the goal is to complete them in December of this year.
Meanwhile, the expansion will continue after the Rinas overpass, which is considered the third phase of the highway expansion. For this segment, the Albanian Road Authority is conducting the tender procedure. Currently, offers are being accepted, while interested companies have until September 3 to submit the documentation. The limit fund available for this segment is 2.5 billion lek.
The intervention on the Tirana - Durrës highway is intended to bring an improvement in traffic, which currently presents numerous problems. This not only for citizens, but also for businesses operating along it.
