Greek farmers escalate protests - Country's roads blocked for three days

Protests in Greece are escalating, with farmers setting up new roadblocks on highways and customs, while declaring their determination not to back down.
The Athens-Thessaloniki National Road remains closed as farmers continue their blockade, steadily strengthening their presence with tractors. They say they will not leave without receiving answers to their demands. Farmers are calling for solutions to high production costs, low selling prices for their products and timely payment of subsidies.
At the same time, livestock farmers in the area will be today, Tuesday, in the Central Square of Larissa, where they will distribute milk to citizens passing by, wanting to highlight the problems of their industry.
Farmers, livestock keepers and beekeepers from the prefecture of Ioannina have blocked the Kalpak intersection for 3 hours over the past two days. Today, they are expected to close the intersection, on the Ioannina-Kakavija national road, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, as part of the protests that are escalating across the country.
Last night, a delegation of farmers and ranchers from Arta informed the city's Municipal Council that farmers and ranchers would take to the streets, however, without mentioning the form and location of the mobilization.
