New strategy for livestock farming - 5.8 million lek tender opens for business plan
The Municipality of Tirana has announced the opening of the tender for the drafting of a feasibility study and business plan for the development of the livestock sector. The estimated limit fund is 5 million and 820 thousand lekë.
According to the document published by the Public Procurement Agency, the main goal of the livestock strategic development sector is to identify and draft policies and sectoral strategies for the development of livestock; to guide and support the growth and improvement of the economy in rural areas of the Municipality of Tirana.
The feasibility study and business plan for the development of the livestock sector aims to determine the opportunities and challenges of the livestock sector for the growth and advancement of this sector in the 13 rural administrative units of the Municipality of Tirana, specifically: Petrelë, Farkë, Dajtë, Zall-Bastar, Bërzhitë, Krrabë, Baldushk, Shëngjergj, Vaqarr, Kashar, Pezë, Ndroq, Zall-Herr.
Currently, this sector faces a lack of studies in all areas, starting from farm types, structural and organizational forms, management forms, economic effectiveness, etc. The lack of data also brings a lack of data for the development of this sector. Taking into account the demographic changes in the country and globally, the change in consumer preferences, the development of production-processing-trading technology, this arises as a need for assessment and as an immediate necessity to draft a sectoral strategic plan which will serve as a basic document and will guide concrete measures in function of the development of the livestock sector.
This study will facilitate the orientation of local, central or even foreign investments for further development according to areas, referring to the updated status if there is a plan for the development of the area, in accordance with the legal provisions in force, the document states.
