401 farmers applied for the National Investment Scheme - Benefit measure, 50% of the total investment value
Applications for the National Investment Scheme have been closed, where according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, 401 farmers have applied. About 75% of the applications were for agricultural mechanics, for the purchase of machines and tractors.
Applications remained open for 5 weeks for farmers or groups of farmers who have a NIPT, for these categories it was possible to benefit from the National Scheme of investments in agriculture.
In the National Scheme 2024, support is provided for the basic matriculated herd (cattle and small animals), beekeeping, organic farms, seeds-seedlings and other inputs, medicinal-aromatic plants, as well as oil support for mechanized agricultural works.
Farmers have the opportunity, through a fund of 1.5 billion ALL, to benefit from financing in the form of a grant of 50% of the investment value.
The aim of the scheme is to increase domestic production, not only in agriculture and livestock but also fishing.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the purpose of these measures is to reduce costs for farmers and increase the yield of domestic production. This initiative of the Albanian government aims at the development of the agricultural economy and the modernization of the latter.
