Gonxha: Centralized Purchasing Operator receives positive assessment in OECD/SIGMA report
The Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja, announced today on Facebook that "the latest OECD/SIGMA report assesses Albania's progress in the field of public procurement, emphasizing that the creation of the Centralized Purchasing Operator has significantly improved centralized procurement."
According to him, the report's experts emphasize that Albania has made significant achievements in this sector, positioning itself as one of the most advanced countries in the region and leading the Western Balkan countries in some aspects.
"Improved legislation; New strategies; Institutional building; Efficient implementation in practice are some of the elements that have positively influenced the modernization of the public procurement system, increasing efficiency, transparency and competition," he said.
The Minister, a few days ago, described as a success the innovation of the Centralized Purchasing Operator (OBP), for the registration of Economic Operators on the online platform: www.obp.al.
Gonxha said that, "over 100 economic operators have already registered in just 20 days, in the categories of procurement objects in which they are interested."
