What did we sell in the region during the first half of the year? In Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, vegetables. Fuels, in other countries
Albanian exports have recorded a significant increase in the first half of 2025, driven by the regional market. Kosovo has become the main engine of this growth, with exports increasing by 72.5% compared to 2024.
Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina also recorded positive performance, with export growth of 20.7% and 21% respectively. These figures indicate strengthening trade ties with some of our neighbors.
However, not all regional markets performed well. Exports to North Macedonia recorded a significant decline of 29.8%, while those to Serbia decreased by 3.6%.
But what exactly is Albania selling in the region?
Kosovo, Albania's main trading partner, purchases a wide range of products. The main export items include mineral fuels, salts and sulfurs.
The Serbian market, despite the decline in exports, remains important for agricultural and industrial products. The products that Albania exports most there are vegetables, fruits, salt, clothing, cast iron, aluminum and fish.
On the other hand, with Montenegro, we mainly sold fuels, various food products, aluminum, metallurgical items, beverages and glass products.
Although exports to North Macedonia have declined significantly, the main exported goods are fuels, vegetables, salt, clothing, and beverages.
Albania also has a commercial presence in Bosnia, where it mainly sells vegetables, fruits and nuts, cast iron items, clothing and footwear, leather, tobacco products, coloring extracts and ceramic products.
