Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku introduces the new director of the Port of Durres, Liburn Aliu

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, has introduced the new director of the Durrës Seaport, Liburn Aliu. Balluku spoke about the deep reform that consists of the construction of a new port and the building of human capacities, which must be capacities that fully comply with the requirements of a European port.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, this port will not only serve Albania, but will also serve Kosovo and North Macedonia.
"Having said this, I would start from the major project, led by your director, more precisely Pirro Vengu who is today the Minister of Defense, together with Kreshnik Bajraktari, you have started a long process, a long process which will be completed before 2030, as foreseen in Albania's 20-30 vision, in the Maritime Development Strategy.
We have been launching a development plan for a new port near Durres for a long time, I would say years now, given that the position is strategic; Durres is a reference point for the entire region.
"Thanks to detailed work and cooperation with one of the largest European companies, "Royal Haskoning", known for its excellence in the maritime field, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, in collaboration with the Durrës Port Authority, has prepared an important document that defines and precedes all phases of the construction of the new port in Porto Romano", said Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.
