Taxes collect 379 million euros in April - Income from wages and consumption exceed the plan in 4 months
The tax administration has collected nearly 379 million euros during April of this year alone.
Referring to official data from the General Directorate of Taxes, revenues during the past month are 3.6 billion lek or approximately 36 million euros compared to April 2024.
Also, compared to the planned amount, tax revenues have exceeded 3 million euros.
Tax revenues include revenues from net domestic VAT, profit tax, personal income tax, and national taxes.
During the first four months of 2025, revenues reached 153.9 billion lek or about 1.5 billion euros, exceeding the plan by 12 million euros and with a significant increase of 15.9 billion lek or 159 million euros compared to the first four months of 2024.
The main weight in the increase has been held by revenues generated from Personal Income Tax, which have experienced a significant increase due to the payment of tax obligations through DIVA and the increase in the number of employees who have completed this declaration.
Likewise, the Value Added Tax also has an important contribution, which also indicates the increasing consumption among the population,
Also, another item that is experiencing progressive growth is related to revenues from special funds, social and health insurance, collected by the Tax Administration, which also reflect the wage increase reform and the one against their under-declaration.
