Technical safety at construction sites, IKMT fines 22 entities in Tirana

The National Inspectorate of Territorial Protection is continuing to intensively inspect construction sites throughout the territory, with a special focus on the Municipality of Tirana, due to the high number of permits in force.
During the second phase of the re-inspection at construction sites in the Municipality of Tirana, re-verifications were carried out in 132 construction sites until last Friday, where the degree of fulfillment of the obligations established during the initial inspection was assessed.
In 22 cases, a lack of reflection and non-implementation of the required measures, as well as non-compliance with legal requirements, was found. IKMT has proceeded against these entities in accordance with the provisions of the legislation in force, which stipulates the punishment of a fine, the amount of which depends on the nature of the violation found.
The control process, in cooperation with local IMTs and the ARD, continues throughout the territory, with the aim of guaranteeing compliance with safety standards and legal requirements in the field of construction.
