Albania, a platform to attract diaspora talents - Xhafa: Their representation and role in decision-making will increase

Albania will create a platform with all the names of Albanians in the diaspora who have stood out for their talent and skills in the countries where they live and work.
At the Parliamentary Committee on Culture, Tourism and Diaspora, the Executive Director of the National Diaspora Agency, Ermonela Xhafa, stated that starting next year, a dedicated platform will be created with the names of these persons, with the aim of including them in the decision-making process, such as taking important positions in state institutions, but not only.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ministries, the Agency continuously calls on the diaspora to include these very advanced elements, with a very good CV for Albania. It is one of the determinations that for 2026 we are taking measures to create a concrete platform with the CV of each of them and this comes from the opening and identification of many figures that we identify from LinkedIn and Facebook, from their achievements and one of the challenges that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has mainly in cooperation with the Agency is the establishment of a platform where all the CVs of persons and those parts of the diaspora who want to contribute to the progress of Albania and the integration of Albania into the EU as soon as possible will be included", said Xhafa.
During her speech, Xhafa emphasized that a connection is currently being created with Albanians in Ukraine.
"We want to reach out to Ukraine, for the first time we are discussing having a group from Ukraine's early diaspora come there," she said.
The National Diaspora Agency distributes a series of calls to connect the diaspora with various developments within Albania.
