"Qualitative and equal health for every citizen" - Minister Sala, agreement with the World Health Organization

The Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Evis Sala, signed a two-year cooperation agreement with the Regional Director for Europe of the World Health Organization, Hans Kluge.
The agreement aims to support Albania in ensuring universal access to quality and affordable healthcare, strengthening capacities for health emergencies, and promoting healthy communities.
Minister Sala also presented the Albanian government's vision for the development of a modern, sustainable and fully harmonized healthcare system with European standards.

It was a pleasure to meet with the director of the WHO European office, with whom we signed a 2-year cooperation agreement, which aims to support our country in guaranteeing universal access to quality and affordable healthcare, as well as preparing for health emergencies."
Among other things, Minister Sala also focused on key priorities of health reforms, such as the restructuring of hospital services, reform of oncology services, and the integration of AI in health. Meanwhile, Albania also proposed to the WHO a European initiative to prevent and address digital violence against women and girls.
