Third revision of the 2025 Budget, additional 24 million euros for infrastructure projects
For the third time this year, the government has revised the state budget for 2025 through a normative act. As for institutions, the largest budget increase is made to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, which is given an additional 60 million euros to advance various road and railway projects.
24 million euros from the budget allocated to the Ministry of Infrastructure go to road transport, with the aim of accelerating several projects such as:
Construction of the Tirana-Elbasan connecting road with Corridor VIII;
Urban development and requalification of the Tirana-Durres Highway (Phases I-III);
Construction of the Kashar–Vaqarr Interchange road (Phase III);
Relocation of high voltage lines along Corridor VIII.
The majority of the additional budget allocated to this department goes to Albontrol, which will receive around 30 million euros due to the blocking of accounts in the Becetti case.
In the railway transport program, around 3.6 million euros have been foreseen for 2025 for the implementation of the railway line project.
"Public transport terminal - Tirana train station (4 km)", as an extension of the Durrës-Tirana line, with a total value of around 18 million euros.
