Pension reform "descends" to the Labor Council - Ibrahimaj: Agreement

The National Labor Council convened for the first time this year, where a number of important issues affecting young people, wages, and pensions were put on the agenda for discussion.

At the opening of the meeting, the Minister of Economy, Delina Ibrahimaj, emphasized that this year will be busy with legal changes, starting with the Labor Code.

"We will amend the Labor Code and the legislation under the Code. It will be an intensive year where the approximation of directives with the EU will be discussed. We will have changes in the law on promoting employment ."

On the other hand, an important point of discussion was considered pension reform.

"Pension reform will be discussed. We are in discussions with the World Bank and before making a final decision, we will discuss it together."

Another issue that gained importance was immigration and the lack of labor, for which Minister Ibrahimaj emphasized that this problem would be solved through the signing of several agreements with third countries.
