QTU celebrates 20th anniversary as the first shopping center in Albania
An important anniversary, filled with activities and memories, all about the community
QTU, the first shopping mall in Albania, celebrates its 20th anniversary, marking two decades as a reference point for shopping and entertainment for the whole family. Opened in 2005 as the first shopping mall in the country, QTU quickly became a cultural and social landmark for Tirana and beyond, as Albanians across the country have forged a long-standing connection with the premier shopping destination of an international standard. From shops and restaurants to entertainment and family activities all under one roof, the mall has been at the heart of daily life for generations of Albanians.
“Our 20th anniversary is a celebration of our visitors, of all Albanians who, generation after generation, have created connections with QTU – the first center that brought a new way of shopping and entertainment, according to world formats, introducing for the first time in Albania the concept of shopping centers.” – said Joana Korimi, Marketing Director at ACREM, the mall’s management company. “But in addition to the international standard, QTU also brought its own authenticity, everything was created with originality and with the passion of the time to bring about change. This change has continued throughout these decades, because QTU has constantly adapted while maintaining its position as the most family-friendly and comfortable center in the country – a space for practical and smart shopping, with everything visitors need in the same place.”
The surprises this jubilee has in store for visitors
To mark this anniversary, QTU has announced a festive program with diverse activities tailored for families, children and visitors to the center. They will enjoy performances, interactive experiences and exclusive offers from their favorite stores, making the event a perfect opportunity to revisit QTU and rediscover what makes it so special. The celebration will start with discounts of up to -70% from October 10 – 12 in all stores of the center.
The weekend will be filled with activities for all ages, culminating in the Big Balloon Fiesta on October 12th, at 6:00 PM. Here, in addition to the fantastic atmosphere, dedicated discount coupons will be distributed. This weekend at QTU promises a warm family atmosphere, uniting loyal visitors with younger generations, to continue its history as a space that connects people.
QTU has also announced that it will reward visitors' loyalty with a surprise that symbolizes new energy and forward movement – a new Volkswagen ID.3 car.
QTU has presented this message with an emotional spot, the key element of which are balloons that symbolize its memories, experiences and visitors over two decades. It seems that this October, the balloons will rise, and with them, the memories.

Today, the center stands as a symbol of progress and collective memories, reflecting its lasting impact on both the community and the marketplace.
As it celebrates this important moment, QTU promises to continue its journey as a trusted space for shopping, entertainment, and shared experiences for many years to come, with even more beautiful memories.
