Employment of foreigners, AKPA: Here's how companies should act to obtain approval

The National Employment and Skills Agency, to assist all Albanian companies interested in hiring foreigners, has published the relevant procedures.
The agency requires businesses that before applying to hire foreigners, they must advertise the vacancy in the "Application for Registration of Vacancy" Service and verify that social and health insurance contributions are paid and reflected in the system.
According to the announcement, the job position that is advertised remains published for 5 calendar days. Then, companies must guarantee accurate and complete documentation, including: The employment contract that must contain the name, address, duration of work and the exact start date, profession, salary, and be signed by all parties. Also, the Proof of Professional Ability, Diploma or professional certificate, and Self-Declaration from the employer on the skills of the foreigner must be uploaded to the system.
The request is then reviewed within 10 calendar days, which is the maximum processing time, starting from the moment the application is assessed as complete and correct.
In case the application is deemed to be lacking documentation, the necessary documents will need to be attached through the application tracking window, within 7 days from the date of submission of the request. Those interested in employing foreigners should know that if the documents are not submitted within the deadline, the application will be automatically rejected. In the meantime, there is a possibility that the application can be tracked in real time from the business account that has applied on the e-Albanla platform.
