From the suspension of construction in tourist areas to the recognition of the lever of control with Italy, Government Decisions are published
The Media and Information Agency has published the full decisions and draft laws that were taken today at the government meeting. According to the official announcement, the Council of Ministers decided to approve the decisions for:
1 - The establishment of the National Oncology Institute as a university health and scientific research structure. The mission of the Institute is to integrate clinical, academic and research activities in the field of oncology, through the provision of specialized health services, the development of medical and professional education, as well as the advancement of scientific research and innovation in cooperation with higher education and scientific research institutions.
2 - Approval, in principle, of Amending Agreement No. 2, by exchange of notes, of the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Government of the Republic of Italy on the mutual recognition of driving licenses, for the purpose of conversion, approved by Decision No. 209, dated 29.3.2021, of the Council of Ministers.
3 - Suspension of construction works and other related activities in tourist areas during the 2026 tourist season. The suspension period for the 2026 tourist season begins with the entry into force of this decision and ends on September 15, 2026.
4 - Remuneration of personnel engaged in firefighting operations during 2026.
5 - Reorganization and functioning of the National Inspectorate of Territorial Protection.
6 - The proposal for the draft law "On the participation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania in the military operation of the International Stability Force in Gaza".
7 - On the rules, procedures, expenses and financial compensation for employees' services abroad.
8 - Some changes to Decision No. 185, dated 2.4.2014, of the Council of Ministers, “On determining the manner of carrying out the basic medical check-up for citizens aged 35 - 70”, as amended.
9 - Some changes and additions to Decision No. 568, dated 17.7.2019, of the Council of Ministers, "On the establishment, manner of organization and functioning of the National Environmental Agency", as amended.
