Oil is fixed at 210 lek/liter, the Transparency Board publishes the new prices

The Transparency Board set new fuel prices at a meeting held on April 17, 2026, setting ceilings for retail and wholesale sales in the country.

According to the decision, the maximum retail price for SSH EN 590 standard diesel has been set at 210 lek per liter, while the wholesale price has been set at 198 lek per liter. Meanwhile, for gasoline, the maximum retail price has been set at 176 lek per liter and 164 lek per liter in the wholesale market.

The new prices came into effect today, April 17, at 4:00 PM and will remain valid until the next Board meeting.

The authorities call on oil by-product trading operators to strictly implement this decision, warning of strict measures in case of violations, up to and including suspension of activity.

The Ministry of Economy and Innovation, together with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, emphasize their commitment to protecting consumers and ensuring fair competition in the market.

In an additional clarification, it is announced that current prices remain below the limits set by Normative Act No. 1, dated April 3, 2026, which means that the excise duty level continues to be applied in full, at 100%.
