As part of the action to free up public spaces, work has already begun to clean up vehicle collection points, to return them to the service of the community. The Minister of Internal Affairs, Albana Koçiu, was at a vehicle collection point in Kurbin, to closely inspect the action to free up space.

"There are many such spots, which have become unsuitable environments, which spoil and pollute the environment, but also unsafe environments. From the beginning of this month, thanks to the campaign that we have jointly undertaken, we will free up this space by returning it to the municipality of Laç, which I am sure will have very beautiful projects to develop in these spaces, projects that return their vitality, their energisation to the community", said Minister Koçiu.

There are 24 such collection points in Albania, 2 have been released, Shkodra and Kurbini, while next week the process will be completed in all other points. Vlora holds the record for the number of such points.

"This is the space, state property, of the Kurbin Commissariat. We have positioned 1664 cars with different status typologies. Of these, 1100 are for scrap. The entire inventory of assets has been completed and we will soon begin the auction procedures. It is 2.6 ha of state land", informed the Chief Inspector of AAPSK, Risena Xhaja.

It is assumed that there are 16 thousand vehicles or motorbikes in such a condition throughout Albania, some of which will be sent for scrap and some will be confiscated for reuse by state institutions.
