Access to the “Festival Pole”, Korça is facilitated - 124.7 million lek for road infrastructure and lighting
The Albanian Development Fund has opened the tender for the improvement of local and urban transport with interventions in roads and sidewalks, lot 6 for the "Festivals and Creative Industry Pole" park in Drenova, Korça. The estimated fund limit is 124 million and 707 thousand lekë.
The project site is accessible via the main road connecting Korça to Erseka, with a travel time of approximately 5 minutes from Korça, 4 minutes from Drenova and approximately 3 hours from the capital, Tirana.
According to the document published by the Public Procurement Agency, the electrical project for street lighting, parking and squares in the New Festival and Creative Industry Park in Drenova, foresees the implementation of a new lighting system for cars and the sidewalk segment studied. The main goal is for the street lighting system to guarantee good visibility conditions during the evening hours, both for motorized vehicles and for pedestrians. All equipment will be cataloged products of the last two years and will have the quality mark of the country where they are produced stamped on them.
The project aims to create a dynamic cultural hub in Drenova, Korça, by transforming long-abandoned “former fish tanks” into a thriving hub for creativity and economic growth. By repurposing this neglected site, the initiative aims to stimulate development in key sectors such as hospitality, eco-tourism and the arts, while promoting innovation within the creative industries. This project will provide a platform for collaboration between local artisans, entrepreneurs and visitors, fostering partnerships that inspire new ideas, products and services. Furthermore, the project will provide educational and capacity-building opportunities for the local population, equipping them with essential skills for emerging industries.
The cultural park aims to enrich the region both economically and creatively, establishing Drenova as a center for innovation, cultural exchange, and sustainable development.
A limit fund of 333.5 million lek has been foreseen for the construction of the buildings and the "Festivals and Creative Industry Pole" park in Drenova.
