National construction campaign launched: "Healthy Workplaces"

Occupational safety in the construction sector enters a new phase of institutional commitment. The State Inspectorate of Labor and Social Services has officially launched a national awareness and inspection campaign in this sector, under the slogan "Healthy Workplaces", placing the protection of the life and health of employees at the center.
During the event, which was attended by key institutional and industry stakeholders, the need to urgently strengthen the culture of safety at work was highlighted, in a sector that remains among the most exposed to accidents. The campaign aims to address this challenge through the promotion and mandatory implementation of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as a key element for preventing risks and ensuring safe working conditions.
The event was also attended by Dashnor Sula, Inspector General, and Erjon Harizaj, Chairman of the Builders' Association, as well as representatives of institutions and construction companies, turning this initiative into a common platform of commitment for a safer construction sector.
Extending throughout the month of May throughout the country, the campaign will be accompanied by intensification of field inspections, distribution of information materials and direct engagement with construction entities and employee representatives, with the aim of reducing the number of accidents, increasing the implementation of legal standards and strengthening inter-institutional cooperation.
This activity conveyed a clear message: zero tolerance towards any violation that endangers the life and health of employees, as well as the need for a joint commitment by all sector stakeholders to improve working conditions.
"Safety and health at work are not a choice, but a legal and moral obligation. Through this campaign we aim to increase the awareness and responsibility of every actor in the construction sector, guaranteeing safer and more dignified working conditions for every employee", said Eljo Muçaj, Director General of the State Inspectorate of Labor and Social Services.
